Biography of Larry M. Clark :

Larry M. Clark also known as THE OLD CHIEF is a retired Navy Chief, disabled Vietnam Vet and a BMI songwriter living in Pegram, Tennessee USA. Larry has been entertaining for over thirty years, but is sadly not performing anymore. Songwriting has been a lifelong passion for Larry and he is now taking it very serious by concentrating only on writing songs, and hopes like most songwriters to have a number one song on the Billboard charts before his ink runs out. Larry’s is a proud BMI songwriter and all his songs are published by Ellemsee Music BMI. On the subject of songwriting Larry jokes around saying for his latest CD, the first in 20 years, ” I wrote one song a year”, referring to the fact that it took twenty years and 20 songs to complete his “The Old Chief Writes and Sings” CD. Although Larry has always thought of himself as a songwriter, Larry is very well-known for his smooth baritone style of singing which is greatly appreciated by his fans. Larry loves singing pure traditional country with a little western swing, Cowboy Honky Tonk, two-step and including everything and anything that falls within the traditional Country sound barrier.

When fans are asked who Larry sounds like they usually say, “Larry sounds like Larry, but if you listen carefully you will hear a little Johnny Cash, Trace Adkins and even Jim Reeves in those smooth baritone pipes”

After almost a lifetime of singing Larry feels he has so much more to contribute to the Country music industry and will continue his songwriting, but admits that although he is now a retired performer so to speak, there are days and lately even hours, that he feels the urge to perform again. Truth be told and taking a line straight out of a George Jones song, he don’t need no rocking chair yet.  Who knows what the future holds for the latest Independent Superstars, ‘Hall Of Fame member’, Larry M. Clark, but if he has more dreams and adventures to explore we wish him the best of luck with them, his track record proves he can do it.
